Since it’s day three and I’ve read so many comics that don’t get the attention that they deserve, I decided to post up three for your consideration. However, my list of underrated comics in inexhaustible, and maybe I’ll recommend more comics from my list later
Unknown Soldier - Uganda, 2002. Living in a war-torn country, pacifist Dr. Moses Lwanga finds himself facing a hard choice when he has to decide to remain peaceful or take matters into his own hands when the violence of his country threatens his life. Who knows how to kill better than a doctor? And what if, by taking things into his own hands, he was able to get rid of the people who caused this turmoil?
The Magdalena - Descended from the bloodline of Mary Magdalene, the Magdalena is a woman tasked with protecting the Spear of Destiny. Armed with sacred powers, they are the protectors of the Catholic Church. However, nothing is ever simple when dealing with God and man.
Fallen Angel - Welcome to Bete Noir, a cesspool of a city that makes Gotham look like Disney World once the sun goes down, where you’ll meet Lee—a former angel who gets too close to one of her charges. When her charge is murdered and her murderer freed on a technicality, she murders him and is stripped of her wings. She lives in Bete Noir becoming something of a hero and villain. This comic deals with so many intricate themes that it’s hard to narrow it down to one thing—or even a few things.
Go forth and read!
